With SotaConnect LES, a high availability maintenance service is provided automatically which means that for no extra cost, there is the peace of mind of a guaranteed fault response time of 4 hours, any time of the day or night. Reliability and performance is even higher than that provided by legacy SDH services such as BT Megastream. With the service level agreement provided, a resilient and high quality connection can be expected, achieving an average network performance target of 99.95% error free seconds per year.

Annual Recurring Costs
SotaConnect LES circuits are provided with remarkably low annual recurring costs per Mbps. For sites sharing the same BT exchange, a 100Mbps connection can usually be provided for less than £900 per quarter. However, annual costs escalate as the distance between the two relevant BT exchanges increases, until the distance threshold of approximately 25km is reached.

Installation Charges
Installation charges for SotaConnect LES are comparatively high compared to legacy SDH circuits, so a long-term strategy is usually required. Standard installation charges are based on the assumption that fibre plant already exists at the site. Lack of fibre can escalate the installation charge significantly. A spread connection option is usually available to reduce the cash flow impact of a LES installation.
