Bandwidth
Bandwidth options range from 64Kbps to 2Mbps, rising to 10Mbps, or even 100Mbps.

Ksp-Connect is contention-free, which means that bandwidth is not shared with other users. The service is fully synchronous, providing equal upload and download bandwidth at all times, unlike Broadband.

Ksp-Connect provides the benefit of high performance at all times - critical when hosting e-mail and web servers, or when using an Internet connection to support a VPN infrastructure.

Bearer
Kent Science Park tenants benefit from sharing the same location as the SotaConnect PoP which means that expensive leased line tail circuits, or bearers, are not required.

The SotaConnect PoP is located at the heart of Kent Science Park and is fully integrated with a secure campus network which interconnects most of the buildings within the complex. The campus network is built on a resilient fibre infrastructure and proven Ethernet technology which means that Internet bandwidth can be delivered securely to literally any location within the site.

Internet Content
Internet content can be scaled up or down providing convenient flexibility and cost-optimisation. The campus network provides 100Mbps Fast Ethernet bandwidth so there is the potential to benefit from other services such as on-net connections to other national PoP's, off-site backup, server co-location, disaster recovery, or even voice over IP.

Service Level Agreement
Ksp-Connect is provided with an industry standard service level agreement offering 99.9% availability and guaranteed levels of latency and packet loss. Credits may be applied for if the service level guarantee is not met.

Installation
Ksp-Connect is provided with RJ45/Ethernet presentation for direct connection to the customers router or firewall.

Back-up SMTP
For customers running in-house mail servers, Ksp-Connect is provided with Backup SMTP. If a customer mail server is unavailable, mail can be received and stored on a SotaConnect SMTP gateway, which will attempt to resend for up to 10 working days.

IP Addresses
An IP allocation of 4, 8 or 16 IP addresses is provided with Ksp-Connect.

Ksp-Connect is provided with high quality technical support. Any technical problems arising from use of the service receive a quick and efficient response from the highly qualified and experienced SotaConnect technical support team based on the Kent Science Park.
